Long-Term Impact:

We don’t believe in short-cuts. Our vision extends beyond immediate relief. Through self-sustainable projects, increased income, and improved literacy, we aim to create thriving communities in the village and surrounding areas. By breaking the cycle of poverty, we envision a future where these women can lead independent, fulfilling lives

Other Projects:

Goat Project:

Originating in Busukuma, the Goat Project has flourished over the past two years. Started with 20 goats donated by Andrea Charity Initiative, the initiative empowered 10 village women. These women, supported by their families, care for the goats, allowing for reproduction. A sustainable cycle is maintained as one goat is returned to the initiative to benefit another family in need. This project has not only provided food but also facilitated education for their children.

Our role involves maintaining a healthy environment through suitable housing, educating women on proper care, and preventive measures against parasites and diseases.

Sheep Project:

Immense success achieved the Goat Project boosted our confidence and we launched another iconic project. The Sheep Project focuses on a group of local women infected with AIDS. Working together to improve their quality of life, they expressed a need for animal feces to fertilize their crops. Andrea Charity Initiative stepped in, providing 15 sheep. As with the Goat Project, education on proper care and regular preventive measures are pivotal in ensuring the success of this sustainable endeavor.

Through both the Goat and Sheep Projects, Andrea Charity Initiative is committed to empowering women, fostering independence, and creating lasting positive change in these communities.

Current Project: Ecobricks Initiative

The Ecobricks Project initiated by The Andreas Projects addresses the pressing issue of plastic pollution within the rural community of Nalubango, in eastern Uganda. Recognizing the absence of general waste disposal methods like landfills and recycling plants, our project aims to mitigate the health and environmental problems caused by the prevalent plastic pollution in the region.

Ecobricks as a Sustainable Solution:

Ecobricks provide a sustainable alternative to traditional bricks, with a significantly longer lifespan. The primary objective is to utilize these ecobricks to construct benches throughout the community, addressing the lack of public seating areas. Our sample ecobrick benches have not only drawn local interest but also serve as educational tools for our team to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution.
